OUR MOMENTS IN TIME is a 98-paged novel of 8 chapters full of emotions, tensions and conflict. It is a novel that makes relevant commentary on sexual relationship, love, marriage and life. The story deals with the question of campus romances and in particular with the relationship between Obi and Ngozi. For a young man its "a time to be free, to dream and enjoy life before taking on responsibilities". For a young woman however its "a time to be thinking of marriage. A time to settle down". Whilst Ngozi, who falls in love with Obi, was ripe for marriage, he wasn't quite ready yet. How then would a young man react when his first love, his best friend, his confidant behaves in the traditional way and marries someone else when indeed the young man has every intention of marrying her in the future? How too would the girl feel? OUR MOMENTS IN TIME deals with these practical questions that have wrecked many homes, hearts and lives . It suggests reasons why many people have remained unmarried including the perennial factors of age, religion and parental pressure. This poses the question should one marry for love or in response to the requirements of tradition. OUR MOMENTS IN TIME is a novel which tactically and practically tries to resolve the problem of "first love".It is educational, inspiring and could serve as a principle for resolving conflict in one's marriage or relationship. Stella Martins, you deserve much credit for this stimulating work.
