Buxton Spice introduces a
vibrant new voice. Set in Tamarind Grove, a fictitional village on the

of a disintegrating society, Lulu and her friends explore their emerging
sexuality. Impressionistic, raw, intimate, captures the essence of the
end of childhood culminating in the night when childhood and innocence
fall apart.
Oonya Kempadoo was born in England of Guyanese parents in 1966. She was brought up in Guyana. she has lived in Europe, various islands in the Carribean, and now lives in Grenada. |
